Welcome to Get Farming! This free site is the place to be if you are seeking land for your own new farm, growers to work your fallow land, or a buyer for your operation. Over time this Web site will grow to include information on farm related grant oppotunities, agricultural legislation, educational workshops, financial planning, and more. So please check with us often to fully realize the benefits of our Get Farming! program.

Get Farming! is for all sorts of other people, too: landowners seeking farmers who can turn their property into farmland, folks interested in news about—and events in—northwest Lower Michigan’s farm communities, even financial and land conservation experts who know how to keep farmland in farming.

It’s easy to Get Farming! Just fill out either the “I Have Farmland” or “I'm Looking For Farmland” form and give us lots of detail about what you are looking for, hope to lease, or want to sell.

For example, a “seeking” young couple may want 10 acres of land that is conducive to wine grapes. Or a “selling” farmer may have land available that is organically certified. The more information you provide, the better this service works for you!

Visitors scan the postings, find those that match their needs, and make direct contact.

To view our listings by county, or to post information about what you are selling or seeking, just use the search box above.

Questions? Call Julie Hay at 231-941-6584, ext. 19.

And please come back often—our listings do change frequently.
