We are pleased to present you with our Taste the Local Difference Sponsorship Opportunities for 2008! As we are prepare to launch our fifth season, it is clear that Taste the Local Difference has truly established itself as a leader in one of the most exciting movements in our region: the local foods movement. This is an important and growing effort nationwide, and we hope you’ll join us as one of the sponsors who help make it happen here in northwest Michigan.
We’ve completely reshaped our Sponsorship Levels this year to better reflect and support all that Taste the Local Difference is doing and provide more` prominent opportunities for our partners.
Now we will recognize our sponsors not only in our annual, printed Taste the Local Difference guide: We will also highlight them all year, across all of our programs.
We look forward to your participation in Taste the Local Difference and the results it produces with your support. In 2007, for example:
- More than half of the farms answering a Taste the Local Difference survey attributed
increased sales and profitability to the program.
- Many buyers, such as restaurants and grocery stores, also reported Taste the Local Difference has helped them find and offer local foods (45 percent of those responding).
- One of our leading indicators of community awareness—traffic at our Web site—greatly increased. We attracted more than 80,000 visitors, doubling our 2006 totals.
